Marketing can be complex and time consuming. With ever changing platforms and options how do you know what channels to adopt and which to leave alone. In the early 2001 whilst working for an agency, the CEO said to a potential client “Marketing is applied common sense”. At the time I was mortified, how on earth were we going to sign up this client if all he thought he could just use his common sense to make it work?
However he had a point, overly complicated campaigns, whilst impressive can often be misunderstood and the subsequent CPA is inefficient. The idea of easy to understand marketing led to the core foundation of Valley Marketing….If your marketing doesn’t make sense to you then why would it to your potential customers. Marketing your business should feel right, you should feel that your marketing plans are set to meet your businesses objectives……if the marketing tactics aren’t designed to do this then why bother?
